The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work for Educators” at YMCA University of Applied Sciences provides a part-time study course with a duration of five semesters. This degree program is aimed at state-recognized educators with completed training who want to receive further qualification. Throughout their studies participants will study in a targeted and structured manner which will help them expand and improve their knowledge and skills. The following topics are included in this program: methods and concepts of action in social work, child and youth services, social work with individuals, families and groups, empirical social research for social professions, legal foundations of social work and more. With this degree graduates will be qualified to work in various career fields such as: youth officers and community educators, development workers, education and family counsellors, scientific staff and many more.
