The continuing education program “Wilderness and Adventure Education” at YMCA University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 5 seminar blocks from July to June in the Kassel area (a total of 22.5 seminar days) and a final exam. The advanced training conveys the basics of modern experiential education and introduces the classic experiential media. The course teaches participants to design and implement experiential education programs, apply the learned methods confidently, initiate educational and development processes sensibly and accompany them in reflection, and maintain a high safety and quality standard. The program is aimed at full-time and volunteer workers in child and youth work, trainers, adventure educators, students, social workers, educators and teachers.
