Biomedicine is a branch of Medical Science that applies biological and physiological principles to the practice of medicine. Biomedicine studies many physiological processes that concern human health, such as the molecular mechanisms of cystic fibrosis, carcinogenesis and the population dynamics of the HIV virus, and it aims to understand them and develop new diagnosis, treatment and therapy approaches. The main purpose of Biomedicine is to detect a problem within the human body and treat it through medical intervention.
