The degree program “Master of Science in Economics” at the University of Hamburg has interdisciplinary focus and is taught by leading faculty based on up-to-date research and business practice in innovation, globalization, finance, and digital economics. Students will explore many different topics related to the Economics, from effectiveness of tax credit policies to how financial transaction taxes can be used to regulate financial markets. By the end of the course of studies, participants will be able to analyze economic and financial data and critically evaluate existing research. They will gain skills that will enable them to independently apply economic concepts to specific economic and social policy questions. This degree program is designed for students who want to pursue careers in higher education, research, or consultancy on both a national and international level.
