By definition, Geography is the scientific study of the Earth’s landscapes, environments, inhabitants and natural processes. Geography can generally be divided into two categories: physical and cultural. Physical Geography studies nature, while cultural is more focused on peoples. Geography is important, because it provides understanding of physical systems that are observed every day, like water cycles and wind currents, and generally serves as a link between natural and social sciences.
