The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Science in Machine Technology, Vocational School Teacher’’ is a full-time course offered at RWTH Aachen University. Geared towards prospective students who wish to become vocational school teachers this course combines basic education in engineering, mathematics, natural sciences, and systems sciences along with training in didactics. This course can be studied in combination with a vocational or instructional subject that can be studied in two models. In Model I both subjects are studied equally, whereas in Model II, one of them is studies in a broader scope. The possibilities for instructional subjects feature Biology, Chemistry, Physics, German, etc. Vocational subjects on the other hand could be Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Textile Technology, and Economics. In addition, participants will also participate in an orientation internship that takes place at a school.
