“Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering” is a seven-semester degree program offered at RWTH Aachen University. Designed to reflect the current demands of today’s world this course aims to teach prospective mechanical engineers how to develop and create highly specialized machines that can be used in almost all fields of application. With its interdisciplinary curriculum, the Bachelor course of study consists of theoretical content, as well as practical experiences. What is more in their fifth semester, students will be able to tailor their studies based on their personal interests by specializing in one of the five career fields. The latter are Production Technology, Product Development, Energy and Process Engineering, Textile and Plastics Technology, and Transportation Engineering. Some of the modules that participants will take include Mechanics, Simulation Technology, Business Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and others. Graduates with a degree in Mechanical Engineering can explore various career opportunities that range from the automotive sector to process engineering.
