Description

Mongolia is an Asian country famous for its nomadic culture and interesting history. It is the least populous country in the world and its land is vastly empty, but that does not mean that its cultural heritage is anything less than fascinating. Mongolian Studies is an academic field which focuses on Mongolian language, literature, philosophy, religion and politics of Mongolia in their historical context and in current time. Mongolian Studies are multidisciplinary, typically teaching subjects like Introduction to Central Asia, Mongolia, and Tibet, Religious Studies, Mongolian Literature, History, Mongolian Society, Mongolian Folklore and Mythology, and more. Students also have the opportunity to explore further topics in Mongolian Studies like Modern Mongolian Literature, Art, Cuisine, Clothing, Cinema, Festivities, Customs and Traditions. Students in Mongolian Studies are encouraged to carry out research and develop problem-solving, critical-thinking, decision-making, evaluation and analytical skills, as well as the ability to form and present logical arguments. A degree course in Mongolian Studies gives students the means necessary to pursue careers translation, education, foreign correspondence, communication, research, cultural heritage, journalism and more fields.
