The “Master of Science in Nursing Science/Nursing Management” course at the University of Applied Sciences Jena has a length of five semesters. The program is an extra-occupational distance learning course. Furthermore, the training consists of two main areas, Advanced Nursing Practice (ANP) and Healthcare Case Management (HCM), in which students must choose from the outset which one to specialise. Students will study subjects such as Nursing science/nursing research, Nursing Research, Change and cooperation management, Coaching and leadership, Social psychiatry/social psych. consultation and more. Regardless of which field they choose, graduates can pursue careers in the following areas: Management positions in nursing fields, Nursing experts for complex nursing situations, Care advice, Institutional case group management, Management tasks in nursing fields, Functions with a focus on nursing science and others.
