The “Bachelor of Science in Obstetrics/Midwifery Dual” program at the University of Applied Sciences Jena has a duration of eight semesters. The course is for anyone who wants to work in the care and support of pregnant women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. The syllabus is constructed based on compulsory modules, practical phases and compulsory elective modules. The program deals with subjects such as Propaedeutic, Scientific and medical basics, Physiology of Pregnancy and Childbirth, Social science basics, Research in nursing and midwifery and more.
