Deutsche Hochschule für Gesundheit und Sport (DHGS)

The Deutsche Hochschule für Gesundheit & Sport (DHGS), founded in 2007, is a state-recognized higher education institution steated in Berlin that specializes in Health and Sport. It is privately funded by the DHGS Deutsche Hochschule für Gesundheit und Sport GmbH (Berlin). Some 900 students are enrolled there in as many as 9 Bachelor and Master degree programs in the fields of Health and Sport. The scope of Bachelor studies includes the degree programs “Sport and Applied Training Science“ (B.A.), “Fitness and Health Training“ (B.A.), “Training and Coaching in Football“ (B.A.), “Social Work & Sport“ (B.A.), “Applied Psychology“ (B.Sc.), as well as “Life Coaching“ (B.Sc.). At Master’s level, DHGS provides the degree programs “Sport Science“ (M.A.), “Health Sciences“ (M.Sc.), and “Applied Psychology (M.Sc.)“. The study concept of DHG combines Internet-based studies with attendance studies: students attend lectures three times per semester for five days, while spending the rest of the time in virtual periods using the Internet-based learning platform.
