Munich University of Applied Sciences (MUAS)

The Munich University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1971, is a public university seated in Munich, Bavaria. With some 17,500 students, it is the largest university of applied sciences both in Bavaria and throughout Germany. The University breaks down into 14 departments: the Department of Architecture, the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Mechanical, Automotive and Aeronautical Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the Department of Building Services Engineering, Paper and Packaging Technology and Print and Media, the Department of Applied Sciences and Mechatronics, the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics, the Department of Geoinformatics, the Department of Engineering and Management, the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Applied Social Sciences, the Department of Design, the Department of General and Interdisciplinary Studies, and the Department of Tourism. The range of studies offered includes Bachelor and Master programs in the fields of Engineering, Business, Social Affairs, and Design. Potential forms of studies are full-time studies, cooperative studies, and extra-occupational studies. The scope of extra-occupational studies includes the Bachelor degree courses “Production Engineering“, “Management“, “International Project Management“, furthermore the extra-occupational consecutive Master courses “Acoustical Engineering“, “Advanced Nursing Practice“, and “Diagnosis, Counselling and Intervention“, as well as the continuing education Master program “Facility Management“, “Paper Technology“, “Industrial Engineering“, “Business Taxation“, “Social Management“, “Mental Health“, “Psychotherapy (Adults)“, “Community Development, Neighbourhood Management and Local Economy“, and “Intercultural Communication and Cooperation“. The educational portfolio is complemented by a number of continung education certificate courses.
