The University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, founded in 1971, is a public university with locations in Würzburg, and Schweinfurt, Bavaria. It breaks down into ten faculties: the Faculty of Applied Natural Sciences and Humanities, the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Visual Design, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Business and Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Computer Science and Business Information Systems, the Faculty of Plastics Engineering and Surveying, and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The University provides more than 9,000 students with an academic education in 40 Bachelor and Master degree courses. In addition to conventional course offerings, the University offers some dual and continuing education studies as well.
