University of Music Würzburg

The University of Music Würzburg, founded in 1973, is a public university seated in Würzburg, Bavaria. It accomodates some 600 students. The studies offered range from Bachelor and Master programs to supplementary programs as well as doctoral and Masterclass programs. The scope of Bachelor studies includes the degree courses “Accordion“ (B.Mus.), “Conducting“ (B.Mus.), “Voice“ (B.Mus.), “Guitar“ (B.Mus.), “Historical Instruments“ (B.Mus.), “Jazz“ (B.Mus.), “Church Music“ (B.Mus.), “Piano“ (B.Mus.), “Composition“ (B.Mus.), “Music Theory“ (B.Mus.), “Orchestral Instruments“ (B.Mus.), “Organ“ (B.Mus.), as well as “Elementary Music Pedagogics“ (B.Mus.). At Master’s level, the University offers the degree courses “Performance“ (M.Mus.), “Performance and Pedagogy“ (M.Mus.), and “Theory and Composition“ (M.Mus.). Added to this are two-year extra-occupational certificate courses that are designed to acquire artistic or pedagogical skills in another instrument (Classical/Jazz), in Elementary Music Pedagogy, in Texture, in Voice, or in Aural Training.
